Complete our online application form.
The application form is completely free to complete and there are no interview costs. Our biggest piece of advice is to really consider what you’re putting into it; we’re looking for you to impress us, so don’t be shy! Tell us about your hobbies, skills and your experience with kids.
We’re not looking for tens of thousands of words, but make sure it’s detailed and all spelt correctly. Don’t worry if that sounds daunting, as we’ll work with you through every step of the process.
Once your application has been submitted, our recruitment team will be in touch for an informal interview.
We want to learn all about you first-hand; your skills, your interests, the quirks that make you who you are. This all means we can help find the role that’s right for you. To help you really impress our camp directors, we’ll normally set a bit of homework too. This might involve getting a new certification or simply adding some more detail to your application, but whatever it is, it’ll help you get the role of your dreams.
If you’re accepted into the program, we will set your proof of intent payment.
This initial payment goes towards your total program fees. You will then complete the second part of your application and start submitting the documents that are required in order to obtain your J1 visa.
We will then re-review your application. Once we think you have presented the best impression of who you are and what you have to offer a camp, you will pay the remainder of your program fees. These fees can be paid in instalments and cover the cost of your J1 sponsorship with your medical insurance cover, including 24-hour support during the summer.
start chatting with our directors!
First, we’ll match you up with a camp that we think is perfect for you. Then, you get to meet the owners (normally on a video call) and if you both feel like it’s the right fit, you’ll be offered a contract!
We also often run online camp fairs, which we encourage everyone to attend so you can meet with all sorts of camp owners and team members.
We’ll guide you through every single step ahead of you.
Once we have all your supporting paperwork, we will apply for your J1 visa and send you the official visa paperwork. You’ll need this when you attend your embassy appointment, which you’ll book yourself but Wild Packs will send you detailed guidelines on how to do so.
Camp will also send you information on which airport you need to fly to and on what date, which makes booking your flights a simple process. We would recommend applicants don’t book their flights until they’ve attended the US embassy for their visa interview, though. We know you’ll be eager, but better to be safe than sorry!
